J.H. Schroeder Companies is committed to incorporating responsible and sustainable business practices across our operations. It is our policy to act dutifully in our day-to-day relationships with our customers, vendors, employees and the communities in which we do business. By demonstrating our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) we aim to align our business values, purpose and strategy with the needs of our customers, while inserting conscientious and ethical principles into everything we do. These principles include established standards that ensure that working conditions are safe, employees are treated with respect and dignity, and that our business operations are environmentally friendly.

Protecting the Environment
- Complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice
- Striving to keep waste to a minimum and maximize the efficient use of materials
- Managing the disposal of all waste in a responsible manner
- Providing training to all employees in accordance with our CSR
- Reviewing and continuously improving our environmental performance
- Partnering with the EPA, through the SmartWay Program to measure, benchmark and improve logistics operations to help reduce environmental footprint

The effectiveness of our CSR will be monitored and reviewed at least annually by the President and Executive team to ensure the Company’s continuing compliance with all relevant legislation and to identify any areas in need of improvement.
